Woodgrove Secondary SchoolNational Police cadet Corps
Training -7/26/12 – Thursday
Today was considered a relatively ‘Progressive’ training for all our cadets. Firstly, our newest addition to the WGS NPCC family, the Secondary 1 cadets are soon having their 3rd class Drill badge test anytime soon, hence, the Cadet Leaders have decided to focus mainly on training the juniors, especially the Sec 1 cadets on the drills. The cadet leaders decided to split the cadets into various small groups so that we can focus more on polishing their drills. Later, commands like ‘Attention’ , ‘Stand-At-Ease’, ‘Forward March’ and even some simple turning commands were taught and practiced, and, at the end of the day, the Sec 1 cadets performed outstandingly well, and their drills improved remarkably.
Besides training the Secondary 1 cadets for their upcoming drill test, Singapore is soon to have her annual Nation Day Parade, and our school is doing the same, UG Style, hence, 18 cadets, mainly…
were chosen to represent WGS NPCC in our school’s very own NDP which will take place in 3-4 weeks time, these cadets have been training very hard for NDP, and WGS NPCC wishes them good luck and all the best!
All in all, our cadets have all shown good drill standards today, they have been polishing on their drills very well, hence, todays training was considered ‘Progressive,’ and we hope to achieve the same good results or even better results in the next training.
Signing off, Jerrel |
